A woman who had been working on a bench for many years, fell into despair.
She was depressed, with nervous exhaustion.
His doctor, seeking a diagnosis, asked him:
"What's the name of the young lady working next to you at the bank?"
"Cynthia," she answered, not understanding.
"What of what?"
- I do not know.
- Do you know where she lives?
- No.
- What does she do?
"I do not know either.
The doctor understood that selfishness was stealing the joy of that poor woman.
"I can help you, but you have to promise to do what I ask."
- I'll do anything! She said.
"First, make friends with Cynthia.
Invite her to dinner at your house.
Find out what she's aiming for in life, and do something to help her.
"Second, make friends with your newsboy and his family, and see if you can do anything to help them.
- Third, make friends with the janitor of your building and find out what his dream is.
"In two months, come back to see me."
After two months, she did not return, but wrote a letter with no sign of melancholy or sadness.
It was only joy!
He had helped Cynthia pass the entrance exam.
It helped to take care of a sick daughter of the newsman.
He taught the janitor to read and write, for he was illiterate.
"I never imagined I could feel joy in this way!" She wrote.
Those who live only for themselves will never find peace and joy, for we are called by God to be a blessing in the lives of others.
Did you already know this secret?
Think about it!!
"Many times in this life, we are the remedy of other people's lives!
How often have you healed a person with your hug, an unexpected visit, a smile, a word, a caring or even, an email sent? His presence rejoices the lives of people, it is a powerful remedy against sorrow, depression, pain and suffering of the soul. Being present in the lives of the people we love is a powerful miracle that can turn into processes of absolute healing. "
