This famous text, in the first chapter of the book of Daniel, tells the story of four young slaves brought from Israel, when the army of King Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Jerusalem in the year 605 BC They were brought to Babylon, where there were several types of dirt, spiritual.
The king's servants told the four new slaves to consume the food provided in the king's palace. But Daniel and his friends said no. They preferred to ingest vegetables and water, leaving aside the wine and banquet enjoyed by Nebuchadnezzar and his court. After ten days, they were stronger and more handsome than the other people who accepted the king's delicacies.
Today, the evil court that inhabits this planet also offers Christians their wine and food. I point out that wine in this context means joy. This is how the enemy acts. Speak to the Christian that he needs joy, to delve into the pleasures of the world, where there is no charge or scolding.
Everything packed in a beautiful package so as not to arouse suspicion. Otherwise the Christian notices the trap and jumps out of the loop. The brightness is very strong and few can resist the seduction. Many young people have heard of the rock festival that took place at the Bethel farm in the small town of Woodstock in Ulster on the outskirts of New York in the late 1960s.
