The figure that most delights me at Christmas is Joseph. I find it incredible that Joseph accepted the story of Mary. An angel came and said she would have a son of God. Certain people, when they put in their heads that they want to conquer something from God, start to make daily fasts, as if acting in this way, the Lord was obliged to attend them to satisfy their vanities. But one thing is forgotten: Jesus meets our needs, never vanities!

The essence of fasting is to kill the desires of the flesh, to strengthen the Spirit, making us better able to face the battles that will arise in the spirit world. Few pay attention to the text of Matthew chapter 4 when Jesus Christ is led into the wilderness to suffer the temptations of Satan. The Lord had been fasting for 40 days and 40 nights.

When we go to war, just like the soldier, we need to get dressed. The Christian fights against the forces of darkness. They are not visible to our eyes. We just feel your aggression.
