His Gospel was so strong that centuries later, another emperor, Constantine, adopted Christianity as the official religion of the government, leaving the idolized gods in the background for almost 500 years. But what is the reason for this change? Even persecuted and killed, most of the time under terrible torture or serving as food for lions, the early Christians continued to believe in Jesus Christ. They did not move from the Gospel that He preached in that Jerusalem dominated by Rome. Where people had no right and dominion over their own lives. Unfortunately, many people these days, among them evangelicals, doubt the power of Jesus Christ. For lack of sensitivity they do not study the history of the Gospel.
