Nowadays the same happens. Fascinated by the
advancement of technology, some Christians support the thesis that God is
straight when he does not accept, for example, adultery, rebellion and intrigue
in their lives. They justify this behavior with the well-worn words “nothing to
see”.
In the opinion of these Christians, they are
advanced and the Lord backward. The Bible is a straight book, full of rules, in
their view, with no connection to the present day. They don't know that Jesus
Christ is eternal. He ignores the time barrier, lives forevermore.
King Saul fell into this error. Instead of obeying
the orders dictated by God he decided to find a way and brought to the camp of
Israel the treasures of the Amalekites and then tried to deceive the prophet
Samuel.
