How big is your faith? 4

Luis Alberto Alves Never imagine that the Lord will prove your faith in a time of prosperity. Because you will have no reason to complain. After all, everything is in your favor. Your boat does not face rough waves. Hunger passes away from your home. Money is plentiful. In every passage in the Bible where people needed faith, their situation was not good. Esther knew that God would not allow the Jews to go extinct. She fasted and believed in the Lord's help. Elijah, before the prophets of Baal and Azerah, knew that the Lord would pour fire from heaven. The Shunammite was sure of her son's resurrection when she went to seek the Lord's prophet. So my brother and sister, Jesus asks you today how big is your faith. Do you believe that the size of your problem is a barrier for God to help you? Stop thinking like that. Just believe. The Lord's help will come to shame Satan and his demons. Keep believing. May your faith be gigantic, never small, like those of defeated people. Detail: don't mumble. Believe. God will supernaturally rejoice your heart. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

How big is your faith? 3

Luis Alberto Alves It is believing deeply in Jesus, knowing He never fails. However, there are cases in which the person will not be able to contemplate that, as happened with Abrahão. He could not see, in life, his descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and the grains of sand on the beaches all over the world. Abraham went to Glory, but God's promise was fulfilled. Today, he is considered the Father of Faith for Jews, Christians and Muslims, reaching more than 3 billion people worldwide. What is Abrahão's secret? Believed in the Word of the Lord! The scenario in which he lived contributes to a scenario of chaos: elderly (age 75) Sara was barren and had no children. How to believe what God was talking about? Abraham believed. He had faith, even in an adverse situation. He had everything to ignore what he heard from the Lord! But unlike many evangelicals today, he did not doubt God. He complied and continued to fight for his life alongside his family. He didn't let doubt enter his mind. He closed his ears to the false words spoken by Satan, when we live in an uncomfortable situation. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

How big is your faith? two

Luis Alberto Alves Most people imagine that they will never face wars. Mainly the 21st century generation, accustomed from childhood to the rosy world of social media. Place where everything is perfect. Sadness passes away from the posts. They think real life imitates what happens there. To complicate matters, certain evangelical denominations disrespect Jesus Christ by “selling” the Crossless Gospel. God would be our butler answering any request, no matter how absurd. Like a spoiled child who never accepts to hear no from his parents. No person has seen God. Nor did he lean against the wall to demand fulfillment of promises. First, because there isn't and there will never be someone to do this. The Lord does everything in His time. In case you realize it's a bad thing. It will simply ignore the request. In this context comes faith. Some mistake this word for hope. Faith is something totally spiritual, it springs from the depths of the heart and soul. That's when we believe in the realization of that project, even without seeing any traces. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

How big is your faith? 1

Luis Alberto Alves Hard question to answer! How big is your faith my brother or sister. It is not news to anyone that in the time of good faith, faith is abundant. After all, everything is correct, without any struggle, that is, there is no need to pray a lot or even fast. If we take a homeless person, hungry, in rags, sleeping under the bridge or viaduct and someone living in a luxury condominium, with a full refrigerator, as well as a wardrobe, a garage full of luxury cars and a full checking account Of money; faith will have differences. For the beggar, the future does not show cheerful colors. Imagine that you will continue eating garbage and using newspaper or thick sheets of cardboard as a blanket. Even listening to the Word of Jesus, it will take time to believe that you can get out of that situation. Your faith is small. The millionaire, because of the great financial situation, will despise the faith. Because of his arrogance, he believes his wealth is his own effort. After all, there is no battle on your way. There are two curious situations: a beggar and a rich man. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

Don't you have Amalekite treasure within your heart? 6

Luis Alberto Alves

Later in this book of 1Samuel, God confesses to the prophet that he is not supposed to intercede for Saul, because the Lord has already abandoned him. God's mercy is not eternal. He is angry. Especially when rebellion sets in in a Christian's life.

Today, many rebellious Christians use grace as a crutch to satisfy the desires of the flesh. They imagine that they can do everything and the Lord will be merciful with his mistakes. Jesus Christ himself warned that no one should ever mock God. To mock or belittle His Holiness.

So my brother or sister try to make a self-criticism of their relationship with God. Have you not brought Amalekite treasures into your heart? Something detested by God? Be careful not to fall into this error and feel the weight of the Lord's hands. Or do you intend to have the same end as King Saul.

Nowadays the same happens. Fascinated by the advancement of technology, some Christians support the thesis that God is straight when he does not accept, for example, adultery, rebellion and intrigue in their lives. They justify this behavior with the well-worn words “nothing to see”.

In the opinion of these Christians, they are advanced and the Lord backward. The Bible is a straight book, full of rules, in their view, with no connection to the present day. They don't know that Jesus Christ is eternal. He ignores the time barrier, lives forevermore.

King Saul fell into this error. Instead of obeying the orders dictated by God he decided to find a way and brought to the camp of Israel the treasures of the Amalekites and then tried to deceive the prophet Samuel.

Big business is to appear before the world, showing in their view, that you are a Christian or progressive Christian, without the stubbornness of saying "Glory to God" in public, wearing well-behaved clothes or even recognizing at work, school or neighborhood that you are a servant or servant of the Lord.

Others feel embarrassed about putting the Bible in their purse or even taking it in their car. They are the famous secret agent Christians. Outside the church their behavior is similar to the slaves of darkness. They drink, smoke, use drugs, prostitute themselves, wear indecent clothes, swear, lie, commit adultery, are gluttonous, greedy, disrespect their parents. In short, they don't resemble a servant of God at all.

Saul, according to the Bible, was one of the most beautiful kings Israel had. He had everything to be successful. At first he obeyed the Lord, but then overconfidence took over his heart. He imagined that he could deceive God or thought that the Lord could stand aside.

As we analyze the current situation of the Gospel around the world, we realize that millions of Christians remain arm in arm with the Amalekites and enjoying their treasures. How many evangelicals get involved with scandals in politics and business life, shaming the Name of the Lord?

The Amalekite treasure called power has seduced many men and women who were once great instruments of Jesus Christ. Like unlimited credit cards, these people didn't settle for the pulpit. Within them grew the desire to appear to the world, using politics or business to gain fame.

How many “gospel singers” have not renounced the fear of God in search of fame, making their presence felt on television stations with no connection to the Gospel. Just for your name to fall into the mouths of the people. Others participate in programs where the darkness of hell is everywhere.

Unfortunately, the 21st century evangelical imagines that God is straight, outdated, that he stopped in time by not complying with the current fad, full of the dirt of darkness. Some denominations even accept unclean practices among their members, so in the view of these false pastors, they do not receive conservative labels.

In this cat box, adultery is tolerated, prostitution, idolatry, perversion, homosexuality, drug addiction, corruption, lying, gossip and other practices condemned by Jesus Christ, according to his Word.

The Lord made it very clear that He "loves the sinner, but abhors sin." He also told the person to come anyway to gain their deliverance and salvation, but not continue in the same way they found the Lord.

A Christian's life needs to please the Lord, but unfortunately many end up acting like King Saul, when God ordered him to go with his army and destroy the Amalekites, declared enemies of Israel.

But Saul disobeyed God's orders and did everything in reverse. He brought treasures from these accursed people into his palace. It is sad to hear Jesus Christ say: “I repent of having made Saul king, because he has failed to follow me and has not carried out my words, as is written in verse 10 of 1 Samuel, chapter 15.

How often different Christians act in the same way. Jesus warns you that you are not supposed to contaminate yourself with the garbage of the world, dressed up in beauty, just to deceive and accelerate the devil's move? “Son, daughter, I don't want you to participate in this Carnival party, to praise the darkness, full of evil spirits”, says the Lord and the Christian or Christian ignores the warning.
