Luis Alberto Alves There, the Lord shows him the land He promised the people who had come out of Egypt. Moses beheld that region, the Jordan Valley, and also from Jericho, the city of Palms, as far as Zoar. That's when he heard the famous phrase from God's lips: “This is the land that I promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, that I would give to their descendants. Now you have seen it, but you will not enter it!” And there on that mountain, Moses died, aged 120. Added to the time when he received the call to lead the people in their retreat from Egypt, at the age of 40 and at 80 he began to lead the Hebrews to cross the Red Sea towards the promised land, Moses spent 80 years taking care of this people. And because of error, he did not behold the blessing that God had promised him, to enter with that multitude of millions of Hebrews into the promised land. Perhaps you, my brother or sister, have long been on your way to the promised land that God told you he would give. In some cases you received this prophecy in childhood, adolescence, youth or even as an adult. But the passing of the years made him imagine that he would never reach the place promised by Jesus Christ. High confident, he began to enter bad paths, which are not in tune with Heaven, thinking that none of that would take away his blessing. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.
