Unfortunately any pastor can feel the damaging effects of a depression. Ministerial life is hectic. It is not just preaching the Word. It is to rescue struggling members, counsel couples on the verge of separation, visit sick in hospitals, incarcerated, solve church financial problems, keep up with the rules of ministry, and seek to keep the ball of this team always rolling standing up. Pastor also has family and domestic problems, sometimes professional, because many work outside the ministry. Since it is not a machine, it soon feels the effects of this wear and tear. After all, he's not superman.
