“Even when you go to intercede for Saul, I have already rejected you as king of Israel”, 1 Samuel 16 F

* Luis Alberto Alves

Unfortunately, spiritual blindness did not let Saul see God's beautiful plans, reserved for him. I don't know what your life is like before God, but if you're behaving like Saul, wake up! Do not expect to be rejected by the Lord.

Go back to first love, look at Jesus, get out of the world's traps, go back to living the true Gospel, put aside worldly fame. Be concerned with the Lord's work, even if it is something small, without a spotlight, before your eyes.

Go back to the streets, evangelize, pray for the sick, fast, cry out for the needy, study the Word more, ask God to open your eyes more!

Return to the place you never should have left, when you stood beside God! Say no to vanities, to sin, to deceit, obey the Lord, even if it is crazy in your eyes.

The great projects of extolling his name through that life disappeared in the wind. The partnership has come to an end. How many people did not act or still act like Saul! They do not know that God's patience with them will come to an end.

Not for revenge, but for insisting on doing what is wrong. It sounds sad to hear the voice of God saying that He has already rejected that person. Being rejected by a person is one thing, but God does not want to compromise with anyone anymore, it is something profound, it is literally being thrown into the arena and becoming lion food.

Without anyone as a lawyer. It was like that with Saul. After 42 years of making mistakes, he went to fight his final fight, where he lost his children and asked for his own death.

A sad end for the man who could have taken David's place forever. He would be the one to reap the various blessings that God would pour over David.

The false shine of the varnish of sin does not deceive God. The great day comes when God says enough! The collapse begins. How many Christian leaders, famous in the past, are now ostracized!

From crowded churches to empty halls without any spark of anointing. The cold of sin is visible in the place. How many pregnancies, from which unwanted children came out, have not come true. How many professional lives doomed to failure after partnering with the enemy.

Praise ministries in the ditch of failure, beautiful songs, inspired by God, today are no longer in the repertoire, because now it sounds like heresy. Preachings that in the past impacted lives, converted, restored, now do not hold the attention of anyone else.

The strong glow of the Holy Spirit has disappeared from his face, he has no anointing, everything is vague. Jesus' intense love is no longer present in that life, because the life plans for that person, the Lord withdrew them.

So King Saul acted, when God asked him to attack Israel's enemies, destroy everything, bring nothing from the enemy's territory.

An example of this happens when parents tell their children not to get involved with the world and receive the famous “nothing to do” or Christian who insists on toxic friendships. Partnerships with the wicked, people with no fear of God.

In the view of these people there is no mistake in taking some dirty treasure from the darkness, money from the corrupt, from drug trafficking, from robberies, everything can be cleaned on the altar.

However, fear in the hands of God will put everything in place. Patient, the Lord stretches the line to the end. The rebel never sees his mistake, like a pig in a pigsty, he doesn't realize how filthy he is.

Many Christians are used to the verse where the Lord says that "his mercy lasts forever, but they forget that He also said that" he has mercy on whomever He wants to have mercy ".

God is not a fool, someone who can be deceived in order to take advantage and then kneel down and beg forgiveness for mistakes and everything is fine again.
God is the Lord of time, eternal, does not exist for him yesterday, today or tomorrow. Everything is eternity.

Before your eyes, our life is like a play, where He knows each act, in advance. However, it leaves our free will to lead us on the right path, it is not his desire that we plunge into the abyss.

But success, fame, wealth, material goods, the fascination of the world, slowly, blind people. Many of them, when they reach this stage, classify God as grimace, as being late, out of step with the present day.

All in vain, I was blind. How many Christians are raised up by God to carry out his Word and pride has driven them away from the Lord? One anointing spark is enough to stop hearing God's voice. They start to trust their strength, their little human wisdom.

They are only interested in the limelight, fame. The focus is no longer on the Lord's command, to win souls, evangelize, pray and visit the sick, go after the lost, that is, knead clay, put your face on the ground.

The deal is to invest time in the homes of the powerful on Earth, invest money in private goods, travel without a missionary stamp, eat in top-of-the-line restaurants.

When they receive an order from God, they do everything in reverse, nothing to humble themselves before the powerful and powerful hands of the Lord. Samuel, a man of great intimacy with God, saw all this happen and asked the Lord to open Saul's eyes. It was 42 years! Enough time for Saul to meditate and get out of the boat of arrogance.

Fascinating is the story of Saul, the first king of Israel, anointed by God, when the prophet Samuel was a judge at that time. Considered one of the most beautiful men of that time, in addition to being beautiful and athletic, he took the throne at 30 until he lost it at 72, after successive cases of rebellion to the Lord.

During this period, Saul faced and won several battles, but pride and arrogance led him to the abyss. He managed to take God's patience! Something difficult.

Son of the wealthy merchant Quis, of Benjamin, grandson of Zeror, Saul grew in wealth, he was unaware of misery. In this context, he will soon take on the unprecedented position of King of Israel. The saying goes that "whoever has never eaten molasses, when he eats, eat it up."

Saul imagined that it was his effort that led him to the throne of Israel. He did not listen carefully to the Lord's voice, but to his ego. All of this went on for 42 years. God waited all this time for Saul to open his eyes and realize his mistakes!
