Our refuge and fortress

* Luis Alberto Alves

In Psalm 46, verse 1 it is written, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." We all face difficulties. They just change their names. For some it is poor health, rebellious children, unemployment, unfair competition in the business world, persecution at work, family wars etc.

After all we have not yet reached heaven. Satan knows that a rock-solid Christian will enjoy eternity. Just as the athlete who, with firm steps, already tired, is close to finishing the race, in the final kilometers begins to feel cramps and pain in the feet. But will complete the test.

Jesus is by our side. The Holy Spirit abides within our hearts. It is He who will calm us down when we think of throwing everything up and giving up the fight, even thinking of returning to the mud where we were once rescued. It's not easy. The darkness will insist on bringing it down. They'll plant lies in your ear, saying it's all over.

But my brother and sister stand firm in the Lord's promises. Do not look back. Stay focused on Jesus. Even if the mighty pains of anguish hurt your spirit and soul, know that the Lord will be your present help at all times. Later you will know that the choke you went through was to exalt the Name of Jesus Christ in your life. Great September for you and your family.

Never accept defeat

* Luis Alberto Alves

If we accept defeat, we will lose. But if we respond by the promise that God has given us, that He will not die, which is for life, blessing, and victory, we will call back to restoration all that was already dead.

Live with purpose

* Luis Alberto Alves

Living a life of purpose, of sacrifice, means making decisions and putting our goals into practice, without waiting for life to get easier, the sooner we act, the sooner we reap the results.

Love doesn't walk is synonymous with jealousy

* Luis Alberto Alves

True love has no connection with jealousy. Especially when he becomes unhealthy, leaving the man or woman obsessed with the other. Everything is cause for distrust and even physical or verbal aggression. Love does not overwhelm, he is the twin brother of freedom, affection and affection. Reevaluate your relationship and see if you are not choking on this beautiful and sensitive flower called love.

What man plants will reap

* Luis Alberto Alves

When you think of doing anything, think first of the consequences. Jesus made it very clear that we will reap what we sow. Whether good or bad, no one escapes this maxim of the Lord. If you are nervous, try not to take any action that you will bitterly regret later.

The evil of this generation of Christians

* Luis Alberto Alves

The evil of this generation of Christian is:
- Want victory without failure.
- Want blessing without effort.
- Want miracle without faith.
- Wanting to have Faith without works.
- Want to attend church, but not be church.
"Wanting to see an angel in the church, but not seeing the beggar in the street."

- Want to have communion with the light and live in darkness.
- Wanting to worship without being in the truth.
- Want to love God and not love your neighbor.
- Want prosperity without obedience.
"To want much without being faithful in a little."
- Wanting to live in the Gospel without renunciation.

- Wanting God's presence without seeking.
- Wanting to speak in tongues, but not proclaiming the Gospel.
- Want revival without regret.
- Want repentance without fear of God.
- Want anointing, no tears.
- Want answer without prayer.
- Want prophecy without reading the Bible.
- To want only "your kingdom", but never "your will be done".
- To want heaven without intimacy with God here on earth.

Hurry to keep the promise

* Luis Alberto Alves

How many in your life have received tremendous and marvelous promises from God, but have become discouraged because of the delay in fulfillment allowing unbelief to shake confidence. But the lives of Abram, as well as the lives of so many biblical characters who embraced hope waiting for the promise, serve as an example to encourage us.

When we look at the Word, we see that those who expect it will never be disappointed. If you have received a promise, even if it has been a long time, stand firm, for the one who promised is faithful to do, and if He has begun a good work in you, He will surely complete it.
