The world does not offer anything good

* Luís Alberto Alves

In the Gospel of John, Jesus makes it very clear that the lovers of the world do not have the love of Christ in their hearts. Unfortunately, many Christians try to please two masters: God and Satan. As we look at the Word of the Lord we realize that this world offers us nothing pleasant, only tragedies. The parties are sprinkled with drugs and drinks. Lifestyle is directed to leave the next under our feet, encouraging competition, where good character is synonymous with naivety. Legal marriage is one where adultery is the rule and falsehood marks ground in friendships. As faithful servants of the Lord we must separate the wheat from the chaff and never forget: we are here in passing.

Do you worship the devil?

* Luís Alberto Alves

In Chapter 4 of the Gospel of Matthew is described the attack of Satan against Jesus Christ after 40 days of fasting in the wilderness. But what strikes my attention is when the devil suggests to Christ that if he will fall down and worship him, all the kingdoms of this world will be given to the Lord.

Sadly, many Christians give in to the blackmail of darkness and begin to eat the lentils offered by the devil. How many evangelicals in this period of Carnival do not participate in this worldly feast, filled with the chalice of evil? Others opt for prostitution, homosexuality, lesbianism, addictions and all the bad that the devil offers in a beautiful package. So meditate if you unconsciously do not worship satan.

The Lord never forsakes your

* Luís Alberto Alves

In moments of struggle, when we see no light at the end of the tunnel, we think it's all over. Unfortunately we think ill. It is at this hour that Jesus Christ places his hands on our shoulder and encourages us to continue on the journey. It is difficult, but we should not look at the difficulties. They will always exist so that we do not fall into indulgence. But never forsake Jesus Christ, the Lord is and will always be the promise of eternal life and the solution of all problems.

Do you act like Lot?

* Luís Alberto Alves

When God sent his angels to Sodom and Gomorrah, as narrated in Genesis chapter 19, Lot did not understand the decision to remove him from that place, along with his family. He thought that he could reverse the situation of moral degradation in those three cities, for Adma was also part of that region. It was so radical that the angels caught him by the arms, Ló resisted. Have not you been acting like that lately? God intends to rescue you from the mud and in your head, the best of the Lord is the worst for you? Accept the designs of God and you will be victorious.

When God uses wicked to bless you

* Luís Alberto Alves

The Christian often imagines that victory will come at the hands of another brother in the faith. It may happen. But the ways of the Lord are different from ours. In Isaiah 45/18, God used King Cyrus, emperor of Assyria and Babylon to rebuild Jerusalem and free Israel after 70 years of captivity.
Perhaps you, my brother, are waiting for help from someone inside the church and Jesus is preparing someone, ungodly, to end their torment. Be at peace and let Jesus Christ choose your way, which will be much better than you think.

Do not be radical in your attitudes

* Luís Alberto Alves

Listen to this text from Osho: there was a very poor old man in a Village who owned a beautiful white horse.
One morning he discovered that the horse was not in the stall.
The friends said to the old man:
"What a misfortune, your horse has been stolen!"
And the old man replied:
- Calm down, do not go so far.
Simply say that the horse is no longer in the stable.
"The rest is your judgment."
People laughed at the old man.
A fortnight later, the horse came back.
He had fled into the forest.

And not only that; he had brought a dozen wild horses with him.
Again the people gathered and said,
"Old man, you were right.
It was not a misfortune, it was a blessing.
And the old man said,
"You're hurrying again."
Who can say whether it is a blessing or not?
Just say the horse is back.
The old man had a single son who began training the wild horses.
Just a week later, he fell from one of the horses and fractured his legs.
The people gathered and, once again, they began to judge:
"And you were right, old man?"
It was a disgrace that his only son lost the use of both legs.
And the old man said,
But you're obsessed with judgment, eh?
Do not go that far.

Just say my son broke his legs.
No one knows yet whether this is a disgrace or a blessing ...
It happened that after a few weeks, the country went into war and all the youth of the village were forced to enlist, except the son of the old man.
And those who went to war, died ...
Those who are obsessed with judging always fall into the trap of basing their judgment on small fragments of information, leading to hasty conclusions.
Never end a question definitively, for when one path ends, another begins, when one door closes, another opens ...
Sometimes we see only misery and we do not see the blessing it brings ... "

The rock called Jesus Christ

* Luís Alberto Alves

Life can even seem difficult, make us creep, make us cry and still weaken us, but one thing is certain: what God has in store. For you will happen, the promises will be fulfilled and nothing and neither. nobody can stop it. When the wind blows hard, grab the rock called Jesus, lift your head, fix your eyes on your goals and walk, you are the apple of Jesus' eyes!
