For want of wisdom, we forget to read and meditate on what is written in Psalm 43, verses 1/2 : "Give me justice, O God, and defend my cause against an unfaithful people. Deliver me from treacherous men and for, O God, art my strength..." Affliction makes people lose their serenity. At this point they make rash decisions, as Esau did when he accepted the plate of lentils in exchange for his offspring.
