Always pray for your neighbor – 2

Luis Alberto Alves
Today, many evangelicals do not know how much other people prayed for their lives at the time they were in the world. Prayers offered in the silence of a room have great power before the Lord. Only He knows what you asked for, without the interest of being seen by the crowd, wanting fame. The world, unlike the optimists, will get worse and worse, to fully fulfill the Word of Jesus Christ. Those who don't know it will need structure to see the way of salvation and at the time of affliction and not succumb to the devil's lies. Your prayers will be support for that someone to see the light at the end of the tunnel. So, put your pride aside and claim for your neighbor, your coworkers, school, college. Don't forget about your relatives, even those who humiliate you and make fun of your faith. Obey and do what Jesus Christ asked. You are sowing good seeds that will become sweet fruits on the day of the great harvest. Remember: “you don't know your tomorrow”! Luís Alberto Alves is a p

Always pray for your neighbor – 1

Luis Alberto Alves As no one knows the future, it is recommended that we pray for others. It costs nothing. When you get up in the morning, when doing your devotional, introduce your friends and strangers to God. Ask the Lord to visit them, to help them in their needs. Everyone needs divine help. Sadly, some servants of Jesus claim that by praying for these people, they will not meet the Father. Because their problems have been solved. In other words, they justify the fact that their prayers served to prevent the conversion process from taking place in that life. As wise as someone is, he will not understand God's plans. The morning of that life, which still does not know and live the love of Jesus Christ. It is not for us to question the reason for praying for the other. Furthermore, what is the cost of opening your lips and asking someone for the Lord's help? Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

Always pray for your neighbor

Luis Alberto Alves We are living in difficult times. People need prayers. As a result of the pandemic, several families are living a climate of war at home. As the popular saying goes “where there is no bread, no one is right”. When the emotional speaks louder than the rational, the field is open to conflicts. Evangelicals are not immune to crises. Passing through this world, the same fire that sets fire to a place can spread and reach where a servant of God lives. It is in this context that the power of prayer comes into play. In the book of Job, chapter 42, verse 10 it is written: "And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends..." Even facing a terrible ordeal, Job did not leave his friends by the wayside. He prayed for them. However, how often do we do this with our neighbors? Asking for the intervention of Jesus Christ for our family members is easy. It's hard to do this with those we don't know, or even with those people who hate us, it's an arduous task. Satan is afraid of the Word of God! two

Luis Alberto Alves When you go to pray Psalm 91 in a war against darkness use this Heaven-sent tactic. I (cite your name and that of your family) who dwell in the hiding place of the Most High, in the shadow of Almighty rest. I (cite your name and that of your family) will say of the Lord: He is our God, our refuge, our strength, and we will trust in him. For he will deliver us from the snare of the birdman, and from the pernicious pestilence. He will cover us with his feathers, and under his wings you will trust thee; his truth will be the shield and buckler (quote your name and that of your family) We will not be afraid of terror by night or of the arrow that flies by day. Neither of the plague that walks in the dark, nor of the slaughter that lays waste at midday. A thousand will fall beside us, and ten thousand on our right, but it will not reach us (quote your name and his family). Only with our eyes will we behold, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you, O Lord, are our refuge (cite your name and his family). In the Most High you made our dwelling. No harm will befall us, nor will any plague come to our house. For his angels will command our respect, to guard us in all our ways. They will hold us in their hands, so that we don't trip over our stone feet. We will step on the lion and the snake; we will trample at the feet the son of the lion and the serpent. Inasmuch as he loved us so dearly, I will also deliver us; he will put us in high retreat, because he knows our names (quote his name and that of his family. He will call upon us, and we will answer him; we will be with him in anguish; from her the Lord will take us away, and his name will be glorified. The Lord will fill us with plenty of days, and He will show us our salvation. (cite your name and that of your family). Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

Satan is afraid of the Word of God! 1

Luis Alberto Alves Again in the power of the Word of the Lord, Jesus confronted the devil by answering, "It is also written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." This terrible war continues until verse 11, when Jesus then said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, The Lord your God you shall worship, and Him alone you shall serve." When countering the proposal to prostrate himself before the devil to receive the garbage, wrapped in luxury, that he offers to the weak in faith. So the devil left him; and, behold, the angels came, and served him. Many evangelicals know Psalm 91, others even pray this Psalm at home, but without paying attention to important details in spiritual warfare. In a fight where the enemy sees you all the time, but you don't have the vision to see him, only to feel his terrible presence. The right thing is to pray the Word, to quote the mighty Word of God to defeat the darkness. If you intend to defeat the demons sent by the devil, learn the tactic of praying the Word of God. Since satan is not afraid of screaming, eye roll or punching the wall. He runs, as he ran before Jesus Christ, from the mighty fire that contains the Word of God. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

Satan is afraid of the Word of God!

Luis Alberto Alves Imagine someone with a Russian SVLK-14S rifle, whose bullets can pierce any bulletproof vest, or even an inch-thick iron rail, but who doesn't know how to use that weapon. He will be held hostage to violence in the enemy's camp. So it is very evangelical who does not know the power of the Word of Jesus Christ. For lack of knowledge, they never paid attention to the greatest spiritual battle waged between Jesus Christ and the devil, as described in Matthew, 4/4-11, when the Lord fights Satan and overcomes him through the Word. Pay attention, that Jesus Christ always confronts the devil, saying: "It is written!" and the Evil One counterattacks saying: “and I told him”. Even when Satan took him to the spire of the temple and provoked him saying: “If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here; for it is written, That his angels will give orders concerning thee, And they will take thee in their hands, Lest you stumble with your foot on any stone”. Pay attention that the devil used an excerpt from Psalm 91 to make Jesus Christ do something to test God. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

Trust in the Lord, God's righteousness is perfect 3

Luis Alberto Alves How many cases involving white-collar criminals, influential men in politics, in the financial market or even in the artistic world, end up without a fair trial? The strength of money influences the justice of this world. Nobody doubts this. Between condemning a poor person and a rich person, justice chooses to send to prison those who were not born in the cradle of wealth. However, this is not the view of Jesus Christ. Before the Lord, we are all equal, no matter what gender, skin color, social status, where you live, whether you are famous or anonymous. There is no privileged treatment. If the President of the United States, Joe Biden, commits serious error, he may even escape the punishment of human justice, but Jesus Christ, he will be condemned. The Lord does not see the human being, the creation of his hands, like our eyes. We see the outside, fame, wealth, the influence of political and economic power. God looks into our heart, our soul, our spirit. He knows who is fair or unfair. No need for police expertise. Therefore, keep trusting in the righteousness of Christ and the name of the Lord will be exalted in your life. Do not freak out. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.

Trust in the Lord, God's righteousness is perfect 2

Luis Alberto Alves If you're facing terrible struggles, and chances are you've even become weak in faith, trust Jesus Christ. He never leaves you. Take the brunt of the battle. Bear the wind of humiliation, uncertainty, pain caused by a romantic breakup, little money in your wallet, little food in the fridge, persecution, some of them even by your family. Jesus Christ is on your side. Of course, you are going to ask: “how are you by my side? Doesn't He see my suffering? Satan's struggle to finish me, reduce me to dust? The more I pray, does it seem like things get harder? My brother and sister, in this type of process, these thoughts often invade our minds, so that we throw everything away and return to the garbage the Lord rescued us from. The Word that God sends to tell you is the following: "only trust in the supreme power of Jesus Christ". Divine justice is not corrupt like that of this world. Where money speaks loudest in the judges' ears. The Lord knows what you need and has the solution to your problem. Just don't lose faith in the Creator. Control of time is in your hands. Jesus Christ is neither late nor early. It comes at the right time to show why He is God in your life. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor

Trust in the Lord, God's righteousness is perfect 1

Luis Alberto Alves How many harmful acts must you have made a reality in your life? And today he regrets it and tries, childishly, to return to the past, to find ways to reverse the situation. But as the popular saying goes: “three things that, once done, never come back: the spoken word, the thrown arrow and the water of the river that passed under the bridge”! Think of the teenage girl who got pregnant falling into her boyfriend's birdman's noose who just wanted to have sex with her. Without maturity, now she will have to raise the child alone, jeopardizing her school life and even suspending her dream of attending college. Repentance comes, but it is no longer possible to change this situation. What about the young man involved in drug trafficking. He imagined, as every criminal thinks, that he would never fall into the hands of the police. He is forced to remain silent during the interrogation, under penalty of earning the label of informer and running the risk of dying after gaining his freedom. In the cold of his cell, he will remember his parents' advice and imagine going back to the past to say no to the proposal to enter this rotten and violent world of criminality. Trust in the Lord, God's righteousness is perfect

Luis Alberto Alves Sometimes, when we are facing difficulties, there comes the feeling that we are alone in the midst of the gale. At this time, many servants of Jesus Christ share their concerns with the ungodly, as if they were able to resolve this issue. For want of wisdom, we forget to read and meditate on what is written in Psalm 43, verses 1/2 : "Give me justice, O God, and defend my cause against an unfaithful people. Deliver me from treacherous men and for, O God, art my strength..." Affliction makes people lose their serenity. At this point they make rash decisions, as Esau did when he accepted the plate of lentils in exchange for his offspring. The hunger impacted him in such a way that it prevented him from seeing what would happen in the future. Luís Alberto Alves is a pastor.
