Trapped to memories, we imagined that we were happy then. After all, everything was going well. The accounts were under control. Red never showed up in the finances, leaving the credit card and special check aside. We sailed in a calm sea, illuminated by a beautiful sun.
Like a child, we Christians get used to the bonanza. We think that the whole course of life will be like this. Only calm, equally eternal spring, when the gardens are always flowery or summer, where the heat is the trademark, leaving the cold clothes guarded.
We forget the famous phrase of Jesus Christ: "In the world you will have afflictions ...." How good it would be to live on this planet, without feeling the bitter taste of those terrible days! Look at the sky and see no dark cloud, announcing rain, causing floods and catastrophes.
Children and adolescents act this way. They think that life is an eternal party, where everything is only joy. They will never face charges. The dreams will be fulfilled without any dose of sacrifice, just like ripe fruit falling from the foot. But this is not the way the wheel of time turns.
