Little affair with God

* Luís Alberto Alves

I realize with sadness how the present generation, in their 25s, is relaxed with God. They are able to spend hours on social networks, but they do not have time to read a Bible study or even pray a few hours.

They treat Jesus Christ as a despicable being. Just remember the Lord when the callus tightens, the situation is out of control. In this hour they remember God. After the affliction, everything returns to normality.

The interest of this empty generation is to post photos on social networks, is to discuss bullshit or even become a fan of artists without content. They spend most of the day doing nothing useful.

Later they will regret it. When the great day comes, it is time to stand before Jesus Christ and justify what you have done in this world. But they will not make excuses. The time to do is today.

We need preparation to receive blessings

* Luís Alberto Alves

It is routine to ask the Lord for a blessing. Some ask for money, luxury apartments, mansions, top-of-the-line cars or even a beautiful woman to be married or a smart and wealthy man as a husband.

Asking is easy. But are you prepared to administer the blessing when it comes to your hands? Do you have the ability to drive a very fast luxury car? Or live in a mansion paying all taxes?

What about the beautiful woman prayed to the Lord? Are you able to keep it at all? Paying for expensive beauty care, fine clothes and shoes? And the dinners at designer restaurants?

It may seem foolish, but it is necessary to be able to take possession of the blessing without turning it into a curse. So be careful about asking God for something. See first your conditions of receiving the blessings.

Few Christians have spiritual maturity

* Luís Alberto Alves

There are few Christians who enjoy spiritual maturity. Big numbers behave just like children. They can not see God's plans in their lives. Complain about everything.

The word wise means ability to solve problems. In the life of the Christian, what is not lacking is pineapple to peel, whether in sentimental, professional, student and ministerial life.

Maturity is to be able to understand what is happening and choose the right tools to solve the issue. He does not open his mouth, criticizing God, when he does not follow the right path. Many do.

When you are in the middle of a spiritual shooting, feeling Satan's hot breath on your face, look to Jesus Christ. Believe me, He will never leave you alone in the midst of battle.

Hypocrisy is the theme of this century

* Luís Alberto Alves

Hypocrisy is the hallmark of this century. Selfishness is another plague. Present in most hearts, it induces people to distrust the promises of Jesus Christ. Many believe only in their strength.

It is difficult to know who is most contaminated: men or women! They both think only of their well-being. Of staying in a privileged place, without looking for the disadvantaged. This is the rule of the game.

Women marry, mostly young, thinking only of finding someone who will ban them at all. They want to live like princess or queen. It is up to man to become a donkey to keep his whims.

Unfortunately the world has become contaminated and I see few healthy in this avalanche of darkness, which has hit many Christians, ardent supporters of the theology of prosperity. They forgot to live in Heaven.

Only Psalm 121 to calm

* Luís Alberto Alves

There are times in life when we find ourselves in the worst of worlds. It is when the friends move away, the relatives avoid our contact and we are alone in the middle of the fight, surrounded by the troop of the enemy.

It is at this very hour that we must be calm to pray Psalm 121 and take the words written there and bring them into our lives. It's not easy. At this point it is difficult to see the exit door.

But the guard of Israel does not hesitate and sleep. He is always awake, and his ears open to the cry of a sheep of his. At first we thought that prayer was ignored. Lie. He listened.

If you're in the middle of a hurricane, thinking that it's over. Look at the mountains and know that the rescue, at any time, only comes from the Lord, creator of the Heavens and Earth.

Do you pray for your enemies?

* Luís Alberto Alves

How many Christians today pray for their enemies. Not with short phrases, but tear the heart to be delivered, converted and saved by Jesus Christ. Few fit this small team.

Even inside the church, many people still carry a heart filled with hatred and revenge. They refuse to cry out for the Lord to reach the lives of people who have hurt him.

The prayers of these people are only for your family and friends. They just love what they love. They do not act according to the counsels of Jesus Christ, who asked for the apostle's commandment.

It is difficult to do this, but we must ask for a broken heart from the Lord, not to ask for feelings of evil to take care of us. We need to love instead of hate.

Defeats allowed by God

* Luís Alberto Alves

We are usually programmed to believe only in the victories provided by God in our lives. That he will never allow the bitter of defeat in the way of the Christian. Do not think like that. It's the opposite.

Several people conquer for their glory. They are arrogant. They imagine that they have enough strength and intelligence to put God aside. This behavior is repeated in rich or poor Christians.

In fact, man by nature is proud. Little does God look. The more you earn money and fame, the more arrogance increases. He does not even thank Jesus Christ for being alive and healthy.

It is when God allows the bitter of defeat in their lives. That they may look to the heavens and realize how much they need the Lord. Of your help at all times of life, humbly.

Who is prepared to act like Job?

* Luís Alberto Alves

In a gospel age focused only on material blessings, how many Christians would be prepared for an equal trial of fire passed Job? Losing children and wealth and remaining faithful to the Lord?

Without making an early judgment, I perceive as a pastor that few Christians could pass through this bush without denying the name of God. Evangelicals today look like spoiled children.

Accept and believe in Jesus Christ when everything is wonderful without any fighting wind. But everything changes as they perceive a breeze blowing in their boat.

They prefer to continue at the beginning, instead of focusing attention at the end of the battle, when the Lord will manifest Himself greatly by crowning us with victory. Unfortunately, not everyone does.

Do you trust in God?

*Luís Alberto Alves

Be sincere my brother or sister: Do you trust God fully or just pretend that your promises will be reality in your life, lightly? Jesus never failed. He finishes what he started.

In this life of struggle, in an increasingly dark world, few people place their trust in God. They believe that the Lord will put before our eyes the concretization of the dreams that we dream.

When the fights arrive, and they come my brother or sister, everything seems to be wrecked, to fall into the common grave. Of the planes that went downhill. Sowing discouragement and apathy.

But Jesus will fulfill what He has chosen for you. Continue in sincerity. It does not fail. When you least expect it, you will be able to step on the land flowing with milk and honey. Be patient.

Saudade shows that sometimes the past still imprisons us

* Luís Alberto Alves

Who never missed? When we listen to beautiful music, our heart and mind soon lead us to the past, especially when we were far from Jesus Christ.

For a long time of my life, the songs of the 1950s made me inebriated. It was as if it had floated. I thought what it would be like to live in those days. He wandered.

The funny thing is that it reminded of sad moments, like the plane crash that killed the trio Ritchie Valenz, Buddy Holly and Big Boper. I thought they should not have died so tragically.

Then I learned that the Devil uses this strategy to hold us back in the past, trying to keep us from moving on to the future, which is the dwelling place in Heaven beside Jesus Christ. Stay alert.

We need to have a child's heart

* Luís Alberto Alves

Jesus Christ warned us that to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, we must have a heart equal to that of children. No grudges or any bad feelings, but only good intentions. No evil.

Unfortunately many Christians, even after several years of walking alongside Christ, are still bad. Bitter, blow every kind of blow against the next. True thorns.

They are vindictive, they repay evil with evil. They refuse to do good. They only devise wickedness against one another. Then they complain that the blessings pass away from their homes.

It is difficult to keep the heart pure, especially nowadays, when slut is the currency of exchange in relationships. Good people are seen as suckers, not as examples of life.

In the struggle never deny Jesus Christ in your life

* Luís Alberto Alves

The struggles exist and will never end, as long as you are passing through this dark world where the evil nothing swims. But we Christians need to continue to trust in Jesus Christ without fearing any threat or even attack from the demons.

In the struggle, we must continue to glorify the name of the Lord. Never lower your head, valuing the transient force of Satan. Praise my brother. However harsh your test, always try to praise, preferably the hymn 193 of the Christian Harp.

It is during the battle that we must look steadfastly at God. Ignore the situation and place your trust in Jesus Christ. He will hold your hands and assist you in crossing the flowing river to victory.

The key is to trust God and never deny His supremacy in life. In this way we can overcome and shame the kingdom of darkness. Discouragement is a word that the Christian should never read in the dictionary, but faith, that certainty of victory at any time. Stay in the Lord's Peace brother.

Let the King of kings protect you

* Luís Alberto Alves

When we read Psalm 23 we do not pay attention to the verse that speaks of the anointing with oil on our head. Of course, many Christians today look like parrots, they just repeat what you hear, without paying attention to details, where there is a lot of information.

David, in writing this famous Psalm, recalls an ancient custom in the East, that when a persecuted man would take shelter in a tent or palace of a monarch, he would escape the danger, for his head would be anointed with oil and there he would dwell.

How many of us, before we met Jesus Christ, were not persecuted by Satan and his demons? Most. But on a certain day we resolved to seek shelter from the Lord and He welcomed us and anointed our head with His sacred presence.

After this day, the evil one tries to kill us, but he can not succeed. Because the King of kings has put us safe in his kingdom and there evil can not enter. The devil can roar like a lion around us, but he will be far from our ways.

It's time for you to withdraw Egypt from within you

* Luís Alberto Alves

God, according to Exodus, chapter 12, verse 31, warns Moses and Aaron that tonight he would let the Israelites go from Egypt. Pay attention: One night, God withdrew the Jews from Egypt, where they were 400 years ago, most of this time as slaves.

When we look at the book of Joshua, chapter 1, verse 2, the Lord tells him that the people can enter the land flowing with milk and honey, because Moses was already dead. From the night Pharaoh allowed the Israelites to leave Egypt until the death of Moses, forty years had passed!

That is, the people took four decades to withdraw the customs of Egypt from within the heart, to take possession of the blessings reserved by God. There is a lot of Christians today that are still in Egypt from where Jesus Christ rescued him.

It is within the church, it serves God, but it remains attached to the customs of the past, when it was lost and trapped in the clutches of vice, idolatry, lying, prostitution, perversion, misery, disease and all kinds of spiritual garbage. The time has come for you to withdraw Egypt from within you, my brother.

New Year requires profound changes

* Luís Alberto Alves

Began 2017. Many Christians are cheerful. New Year can mean better changes in their lives. This is how the system works. The business is to gain advantages using the name of Jesus Christ. In the view of several evangelicals this is the time to enter the paradise of wealth here on earth.

But in order to achieve goals, it takes faith. Unfortunately people try to use God for personal satisfaction. They never think of the Kingdom of God. The wave is surfing on the surfboard which increases the volume of money in the checking account.

Unfortunately for these people the New Year will remain old. Because the greatest change must take place within our hearts. Give up old habits, some even from the time of the person who did not yet know Jesus Christ.

It is important to be reborn, to look forward, to leave the past behind and seek to please the Lord. Never leave prayers and fasting in the background. We need to depend on Jesus Christ and change every day. So you can enjoy a great 2017.
