Humiliation comes before exaltation - 10

They don't want to be reborn from the water, which cleans up all kinds of filth. Christ is that water, the water of life. Therefore, never forget that the true Gospel persists in the process of humiliation before the day of exaltation arrives.

Whoever bets only on exaltation without humiliation is the son of darkness. It has no commitment to eternity. But with the world, which currently lies in the evil one. Think only of today, visualize only the delicacies of this rotten world, which constantly refuses the Gospel of Christ.

They are people who wish at all costs in the light of fame, the fleeting taste of vanity, the deception of wealth from crime, the rapid pleasure provided by prostitution and drugs. That is why many are called, but few are chosen. Fight to get chosen.

After going through humiliation, we become stronger and more confident in the Lord. We are sure that He will never leave us alone, even in the worst moments. Humiliation is the tool of hearing Jesus Christ cutting the diamond that is us.

It is to remove the impurities that the world insisted on keeping within us. It is to shape the Christ character in our soul. In our life trajectory, before we know Christ, our hearts are dirty with the impurities of sin.

And we will only see God, with a clean heart and hands. The process of humiliation is to remove from our soul and Spirit, everything that does not belong to God. It is painful, messing with our emotional. Many refuse this treatment of the Lord.

And Asaph was a man of God, he was intimate with the Lord, but for a fraction of a second, the devil put it in his heart, that the enemies would overcome him. Sometimes today's Christian acts like Asaph. Even within the congregation, where the Lord has placed him, he believes that the enemies of Jesus Christ will triumph, shaming the Gospel of God.

It takes wisdom to realize that before exaltation, we need to walk the painful path of humiliation for the name of Jesus to be greatly exalted. Equal to the pain that affects pregnant women minutes before delivery.

The tension of looking at the list of those who passed the entrance exam, after months, years, days and nights of study. Or even the Formula-1 driver driving his car on the last lap of the Grand Prix that will give first place and win the title.

Jesus Christ said that "nothing would remain hidden without being revealed". Liars believe that their words will be true forever. One day they will be discovered. The devil works so that the Christian with little faith ignores humiliation and always wants exaltation.

Because in the process of humiliation, the Christian draws closer to God. Leave your life more in the Lord's hands. It is a difficult process, because in the middle of this war, there is sometimes the impression that the Christian was alone, without God at his side.

It is when the devil shows the successful life, temporarily of the wicked, and tries to put on the head of the servant of God, that he is working out in cold iron. This is what Asaph says in Psalms 83, that he comes to believe that God was speechless and says that the enemies of the Lord challenge him with his head held high.

It is sex before marriage, it is addiction to drugs to obtain pleasure, it is to adopt a criminal attitude of earning money without work effort, obeying your wishes, leaving out the guidelines of Jesus Christ.

Due to a lack of spiritual maturity, many Christians do not realize that the pleasures offered by Satan are fleeting. An example of this occurs with drugs. The addict is never satisfied. He is always looking for the next dose, until he overdoses, dies or goes crazy.

The adulterer is never satisfied with betrayals, until the day comes when his mistakes are discovered and he feels the bitter taste of separation and divorce. The thief is a slave to the easy money of crime. Satan puts it in your mind that it will never be discovered.

In this painful process, few can understand the Lord's action. Some classify God as a tyrant. They believe that God should always be loving, without ever correcting us. Because of the world, the vision of this type of Christian is blurred.

He cannot see the future. Which is the eternal abode in Heaven. Irresponsibly he starts to fight for the false comfort offered by the world. Forget that the Kingdom of God is not here.

He behaves just like the detainee who got used to the prison cell, where he is serving a sentence. It is in this field that the devil works. Invades the mind by placing impure thoughts. That the good Gospel is that of worshiping the beauties of this world.

It is staying awake when there is a desire to sleep. It is to satisfy the will of the Holy Spirit, when the flesh asks otherwise. No one will enter Heaven without passing the road of humiliation. Jesus, who came from Heaven, was crucified in the terrible death on the cross, reserved for the worst criminals of that time.

He was tortured, cursed, mocked, when he heard the Roman soldiers and the Pharisees that, "if he were the Son of God, he would ask for strength and He would help him to get down from the cross." Did you thirst? they gave him vinegar to drink.

In humiliation, how often does the Christian thirst and no one gives him water? In humiliation, hunger punishes the body, and in obedience to God, the Christian willingly accepts a piece of bread, when the desire was to have a plate full of food.

Gospel without suffering humiliation for the love of Christ is the same as imagining that the sun will always shine, without ever reaching the darkness of the night. Humiliation precedes exaltation to show man that he depends on God.

Without the presence of the Lord you are nobody. It is a river without water, a teacher without a student, a doctor without patients, a general without a soldier. The harshness of humiliation opens our eyes. It forces us to see reality, naked and raw.

Humiliation forces the true Christian to close his mouth, to stop looking at one side only, but to focus on the main focus which is Jesus. It means feeling like screaming, but remaining silent, swallowing the rude words that hurt your heart.

In the view of this type of Christian, it is not Christ's will that should prevail, but his, however wrong it may be. It is madness in place of lucidity, darkness in the space of light. Few understand the work of Jesus.

The Lord's designs are the best for us, but ours look good. How many Christians do not live in failed marriages, because they did not wait for God's time to be fulfilled?

How many women did not get pregnant giving in to the sweet taste, at first, and then bitter from sin? How many Christians have not fallen into the easy money trap of corruption and then paid the high price, before the justice of men?

It is the gospel model that does not mistreat the flesh. Everything is lawful, ignoring the will of the Holy Spirit, who will never be compacted by error, however small. It is easy in the eyes of some Christians.

Without the afflictions that Jesus Christ said we would have in the battle to win a place in Heaven. They do not know that humiliation is allowed by God to polish our character as a Christian.

We become closer to the Lord, more spiritual. Many want to be governors, as Joseph was in Egypt, but leaving out the humiliation of discrimination, of persecution, of the injustices he suffered.

... And he who humbles himself will be exalted, (Luke 14/11). Today, many Christians desire exaltation without bearing the weight of the cross of humiliation. Like a woman who wants to be a mother, but without facing nine months of pregnancy or entering a public college without the martyrdom of Fuvest's competitive entrance exam.

It is the Gospel of the wide door, where there is no commitment to the commandments determined by God. The person adopts the model of Christianity created by him, leaving out obedience to Jesus Christ.

The rule is to take the shortest path, without stones and in human eyes, the best straight. Without the responsibility to pray without ceasing as Jesus made it clear. Without fasting, without crying out for others, remembering that Job was blessed because even in suffering he prayed for others.
